Making your first cast is easier than you think, and Jesmonite® is one of the friendliest materials to start with. It is...
Read the guide →Jesmonite is a water-based casting material built around a natural gypsum mineral and a water-based acrylic resin. It is non-toxic, solvent-free and VOC-free, which makes it safe to use at home, in the classroom or in a shared studio, no respirator or special ventilation required. It is even fire-rated to ASTM E84 Class A, which is why architects and set builders love it as much as crafters do.
Working with Jesmonite is fast and forgiving. Mix the powder and liquid, pour into your mold, and demould in 20 to 40 minutes. Add pigments for solid colours and marbled effects, or additives for terrazzo finishes.
The most popular grade is AC100, the classic decorative composite for coasters, vases, trays and homeware. AC730 is the outdoor-grade alternative with a stone-like finish for garden and exterior pieces. New to the material? Our starter kits bundle everything you need for your first casts.
We keep the full Jesmonite range in stock at competitive prices, and orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same day.
