Read the guide →Additives are the easiest way to give your Jesmonite casts a whole new character. The stars of this category are GlassRoxx and StoneRoxx: coloured glass and stone granules that you mix into or scatter over your cast to create the classic terrazzo look. After demoulding, a light sanding reveals the embedded chips and turns a plain surface into a speckled, stone-like finish that looks straight out of a design store.
Terrazzo works beautifully on coasters, trays, vases and candle holders, and every batch is unique. Combine different GlassRoxx colours, mix in StoneRoxx for a natural mineral feel, or pair the granules with pigments in the base for endless combinations. Because Jesmonite is water-based and demoulds in 20 to 40 minutes, you can test several recipes in a single session.
