About this product
Jesmonite velvet powder is a very fine powder that gives your Jesmonite creations a soft, velvety surface, much like flocking. Available in several colours, so every design gets its own character.
Use the powder together with tacky glue, a water-based adhesive that dries to a tacky finish. It spreads easily and dries without brush marks, making it a perfect base for velvet and pigment powders, even on larger surfaces.
How to use
Fold in after mixing, before you pour.
- Mix your Jesmonite as usual.
- Fold in the chips or flakes and pour.
- Reveal sand the cured cast to expose the chips, then seal.

How do you make a terrazzo effect?
Fold chips into a fresh Jesmonite® mix, cast as usual, then sand the demoulded piece while it is still soft to reveal the chips, and seal it once cured to bring the colours out. StoneRoxx and GlassRoxx are ready-made chips; you can also make your own from coloured Jesmonite®.
When can I sand my cast?
Sand as soon as you can, right after demoulding, while the cast is still relatively soft and easiest to work. Seal only once the piece is fully cured (24 hours).
