About this product
Flexiguard Sealer is an invisible, transparent coating that preserves the appearance of finished surfaces without altering their texture or colour. Its solvent-free formula, specially developed for porous surfaces, provides long-lasting protection against stains and UV rays.
How to seal your cast
Two thin coats beat one thick one.
- Wait until the cast is fully cured, about 24 hours after demoulding; sand smooth and dust off.
- Apply a thin, even coat with a brush or sponge. Too thick? Dilute the sealer with up to 25% water.
- Repeat after drying: a second thin coat, a third if the piece will see water.
- Cure let the sealer dry fully before use.
Questions & answers
Is Jesmonite® waterproof without sealing?
No. Jesmonite® is porous and will absorb water, so it is not waterproof on its own. Seal it before it comes into regular contact with water. An acrylic sealer suits AC100, while a penetrating or Flexiguard sealer is made for the cement-based AC730 and AC84.
