Accurate measuring matters. Jesmonite is mixed by weight, and a reliable scale is the difference between a flawless cast and a frustrating one. Once your piece has demoulded, which takes only 20 to 40 minutes, a light sanding and a coat of sealer give it a professional, retail-ready finish. Sealing is especially worthwhile for coasters, trays and bathroom pieces that will see daily use.
