The liquid part of your Jesmonite® AC100 – mixed with the base, it becomes your casting material.

About this product
Make your own Jesmonite® tealight holder – a complete DIY set to cast a stone-look holder for three tealights. No studio, no experience and no separate shopping list: everything you need to create your own unique tealight holder is in this box.
Jesmonite is a water-based, low-odour casting material that is easy and safe to work with at home. You simply mix it, colour it, pour it into the mould and let it cure – and you are left with a solid, round tealight holder that nobody else has.
How it works:
- Pick 3 pigments – choose from black, coade, green, purple and pink.
- Mix the Jesmonite® AC100 liquid and base, and add your colour – one shade or a marbled mix.
- Pour it into the silicone tealight holder mould.
- Demould once cured, add three tealights and enjoy the glow.

How to use this kit
Most of the time is waiting for the cure.
- Prepare lay out the mould, a mixing cup, a stick and a digital scale.
- Weigh and mix 1 part liquid to 2,5 parts base, stir 2 to 3 minutes until smooth.
- Colour stir in a few drops of pigment, or swirl two colours for a marbled look.
- Pour slowly, then tap the mould so air bubbles rise.
- Demould and cure after about 30 minutes; sand the edges, let it cure 24 hours, then seal.
Questions & answers
Is Jesmonite® easy for beginners?
Yes. Jesmonite® AC100 is water-based, non-toxic and forgiving, which makes it one of the easiest casting materials to learn on. As long as you weigh your ratio accurately and mix thoroughly, your first indoor decorative cast should turn out well.
Do I need special equipment?
No specialist tools are required. You just need a set of scales for the mix ratio, a mixing pot and stick, and a silicone mould. A starter kit is the simplest way to gather the essentials in one go.
Do I need a special mould?
Silicone moulds work best because they flex and release the cast cleanly, and they can be reused many times. A flat coaster or tray mould is a great first project as it is quick to fill and easy to demould.
